Gabriel Afolayan Says He Did Not Attack the Media in Heroes and Zeroes

Gabriel Afolayan who played the role of an emerging reporter in the TV has denied the allegation that he attacked the media in the new movie, Heroes and Zeroes. Acting musician starred as Dibu Ijele, a reporter for a weekly tabloid, Naija Scene, in the movie.

“For me, I believe that as an actor, I should be able to act any role no matter how demanding it is. The role I played in 'Heroes and Zeros' as a bad-boy journalist who goes about scooping people’s dirty secret is one role I cherish because I was able to reveal some of the rots in the media.

"I believe it is a form of campaign against what I call 'dirty journalism' which believes that it is only the negative sides of celebrities and people in the limelight that should be reported. And the role is not a ‘collective slap’ on members of the fourth estate; it is just a movie exposing the rot in the system as a whole,"

Nigeria Will Have 5,000 Naira Note Next Year

Next year, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) will introduce a N5,000 note that will have the features of three female Nigerian nationalists: Margaret Expo, Funmilayo Kuti and Gambo Sawaba on it.

President Goodluck Jonathan gave his approval to the plan in December 2011 which includes the redesigning of the existing currency notes and coins. The current N500, N200, N100, N50 will be redesigned with new security features while the N20, N10, and N5 notes will be converted to coins.

According to the CBN governor, Mr Lamido Sanusi Lamido, "the issues raised and the subsequent findings and decisions were summarised as follows: due to inflationary pressures, the CBN should coin lower denominations of currency up to N100..."

Beautiful 24-year-old Killed by Facebook Friends in Lagos

My truest condolence go to the parents of Cynthia,  Retired Major General Frank & Mrs Joy Osokogu. Cynthia was an enterprising post graduate student of the Nasarawa State University. According to unconfirmed reports, the young lady was allegedly killed by male facebook friends who had lodged her in a hotel, robbed her and subsequently strangled her to death. More reports state that the Nigerian police in the Area E Command in Festac have done their job in this case and the culprits have been arrested. It was said that this deed is not the first, second or even third abysmal act performed by this gang of male university students as they have taking it as their part -time job for a while. If not for the CCTV camera installed in the hotel, they would still be roaming Facebook and Twitter in search of more victims.

This na the picture of late Cynthia. Boy, this girl too fine!
This girl is too pretty. The guys that killed her should not be locked in jail. They should be sent to Boko Haram for bomb experimentation.
